Long Island Bridge Letter

Long Island BridgeThe closure of the Long Island Bridge meant that the housing and programs offered to some of Boston most vulnerable population were quickly ended.  The Administration stated in the 2016 State of the City address that the number of beds offered at the Long Island Shelter have been replaced in downtown Boston.  Long Island is an extremely valuable taxpayer asset and the Finance Commission would like the city to begin long-term planning for the property.  A letter was sent to the Administration to better understand planning for the property.
